چکیده
A mathematical analogy between paraxial optics with two circular polarizations of light in a defocusing Kerr medium positive dispersion, binary Bose-Einstein condensates cold atoms the phase separation regime, and hydrodynamics immiscible compressible liquids can help theoretical search for unknown three-dimensional coherent optical structures. In this work, transversely trapped (by smooth profile refractive index) beams are considered new numerical examples presented, including ``floating drop'', precessing longitudinal vortex an inhomogeneous filling second component, combination drop filament. Filled vortices that perpendicular to beam axis propagate at large distances have also been simulated. V. P. Ruban, JETP Lett. 117(4), 292 (2023); DOI: 10.1134/S0021364022603311

Self-trapped optical beams: Spatial solitons
We present a brief overview of the basic concepts of the theory of spatial optical solitons, including the soliton stability in non-Kerr media, the instability-induced soliton dynamics, and collision of solitary waves in nonintegrable nonlinear models.
متن کاملSelf-accelerating self-trapped optical beams.
We present self-accelerating self-trapped beams in nonlinear optical media, exhibiting self-focusing and self-defocusing Kerr and saturable nonlinearities, as well as a quadratic response. In Kerr and saturable media such beams are stable under self-defocusing and weak self-focusing, whereas for strong self-focusing the beams off-shoot solitons while their main lobe continues to accelerate. Sel...
متن کاملSelf-accelerating self-trapped nonlinear beams of Maxwell's equations.
We present shape-preserving self-accelerating beams of Maxwell's equations with optical nonlinearities. Such beams are exact solutions to Maxwell's equations with Kerr or saturable nonlinearity. The nonlinearity contributes to self-trapping and causes backscattering. Those effects, together with diffraction effects, work to maintain shape-preserving acceleration of the beam on a circular trajec...
متن کاملNonlinear transversely vibrating beams by the homotopy perturbation method with an auxiliary term
This paper presents the high order frequency-amplitude relationship for nonlinear transversely vibrating beams with odd and even nonlinearities, using Homotopy Perturbation Method with an auxiliary term (HPMAT). The governing equations of vibrating buckled beam, beam carrying an intermediate lumped mass, and quintic nonlinear beam are investigated to exhibit the reliability and ability of the p...
متن کاملNonlinear optical beams carrying phase dislocations
We describe different types of self-trapped optical beams carrying phase dislocations, including vortex solitons and ring-like soliton clusters. We demonstrate numerically how to create such nonlinear singular beams by the interaction of several fundamental optical solitons. Mutual trapping of several solitons can be regarded as a synthesis of ‘soliton molecules’, and it corresponds to a transf...
